An Update
It's been a few months since I've added anything to my breathtaking website, but I promise that I've been doing stuff. Since early May, I've been interning for Major League Soccer team FC Dallas in Frisco, Texas.
I love what I'm doing up there. People ask my what my favorite part is and although I get to run the team's Snapchat account, watch soccer for free and occasionally tweet witty GIFs out to almost 100,000 Twitter followers, my favorite part of this opportunity is the people I get to work alongside with.
In such a youthful, creative-minded marketing cubical, I feel right at home. I'm never afraid to make a horrific pun, sing all afternoon or even dare to join in on the most intense debates over "fast food vs. fast casual."
It's fantastic to see that a workplace can really be no different than your group of friends from childhood. It's easy to see that the staff at FC Dallas truly care for one another and the team they represent in how they treat one another and understand that the friendship doesn't have to end just because the workday does.
It's somewhat out of my hands where I ultimately end up as a college graduate in six months, but if I get the opportunity to work with people half as fun as those in the FCD marketing department, I would consider myself among the luckiest alive (here's to you, Lou Gehrig).
